This is my 4 year old daughter's first layout. She has used PSE before for thank you letters but not for anything this size. I created the template, changed the levels, tracked supplies, typed and offered guidance. Beth took all the pictures, selected which ones to use, positioned them in the square, told me what to type, selected the papers and positioned her choice of embellishments. She is able to drag items from organiser into PSE, apply effects and drag them onto another file within PSE; she even reminded me that drop shadows needed to be applied!
She got a camera at the end of last year because she like using ours and I'm encouraging her to take pictures but don't want to force her. I don't know how many we'll end up with each week so thought a 2 week / page would help hide any gaps.
