Child's project life: Week 1 & 2 (January)

This is my 4 year old daughter's first layout. She has used PSE before for thank you letters but not for anything this size. I created the template, changed the levels, tracked supplies, typed and offered guidance. Beth took all the pictures, selected which ones to use, positioned them in the square, told me what to type, selected the papers and positioned her choice of embellishments. She is able to drag items from organiser into PSE, apply effects and drag them onto another file within PSE; she even reminded me that drop shadows needed to be applied!

She got a camera at the end of last year because she like using ours and I'm encouraging her to take pictures but don't want to force her. I don't know how many we'll end up with each week so thought a 2 week / page would help hide any gaps.

Journalling:

1. My new purple bike 2. Aunty Sophy with my new lego girl 3. My new pretty box and pen 4. I like Tangled 5. Felix and Nikki 7. People’s boxes

at preschool for cards and presents

8. I like going to preschool1 9. I like Matthew’s cars 10. My friend Daisy at the swimming pool 11. I like the instruments we made 12. My new glittery shoes 13. I went to see a film about Tinkerbell 14. I like the snow

Oh, this is just wonderful Beth! What a pretty page you made and your photos are wonderful. I especially like your purple bike (purple is my favorite color). I also really like the pink background and the stars you used, but I especially liked seeing YOU and your friends. It was neat reading about your weeks all the way over here in the USA. Beautiful page. I can't wait to see more.

Oh, Beth you are already a Scrap Girl at four years old! You did a beautiful job with your layout and I am so happy that you've shared it here with us! I love your purple bike and I think you took a great picture of it. Your photos all look so nice on that pretty pink background! I'd love to have a pair of shoes like your pretty glittery ones - I'll be they look so cute on your feet! I hope you will do some more layouts and let your Mom post them here for all of us to see! You are going to be a great scrapper! :) :) :2468who-do-we-appreciate: :2468who-do-we-appreciate: :2468who-do-we-appreciate: Go Beth! :2468who-do-we-appreciate: :2468who-do-we-appreciate:

Beth did a wonderful job and she's going to love having this when she's older. I wish I had photos of favorite toys and activities from when I was little.

How talented! She is taking wonderful photos (and isn't digital great - no developing costs, which I remember prohibited my sister's kids from really getting into photography as little ones). Love the sparkly shoes, the wand & the pretty pink background.

Oh wow Beth, if you are doing fantastic pages like this at 4, what are they going to be like when you are older? I love hearing about your weeks and your friend, and your glittery shoes are gorgeous! Did you have your new purple bike for Christmas. Keep up the good work and I think that you will need to give me some lessons to help me make such amazing LOs. :2468who-do-we-appreciate:
