I followed a tutorial for adjusting and blurring the background, using a gradient to blend in the blur and to add bokeh... I am happy with it :-)

Love it Jody! This is beautifully balanced. I like how the horizontal rickrack plays with the vertical lines in your photo. Fabulous clusters too.

Love all the blues in your layout, the softly blended background and the fun bottom painted border. I really like the idea of using the gears as embellishments, I struggle with using them and you've done it so well!

You SHOULD be happy with it -- it's gorgeous! The technique turned out great. Our focus is truly on that cutie-pie, and, though the background is there, it's not distracting. I love the shades of blue you've combined as well as you lovely clusters. Creative and lovely layout!
