Newsletter Tip: The familiar saying, "A picture is worth a thousand words" is quite true. Therefore, could it also be true that three or more pictures must say even more? By carefully selecting a series of shots, a story can be told with minimal journaling – or none at all. When you're taking photographs, focus on capturing the little details of the moment. In this layout, Ava was totally engaged in devouring the cupcake... to the very last lick! Any one of the three pictures alone would not have conveyed the incredible yumminess of that cupcake covered with gooey red icing!

I especially like how the photos grow larger as they stack towards the viewer. Gives a feeling of motion and sequence.

I love the techniques you used to draw our eye across the page, especially the draped pennants and the arrows. Fabulous photos, beautifully cropped, and great, happy, colors. I enjoyed your NL article, too. I always learn from you!!

Loved this layout AND the Newsletter technique tip which prompted its design. You couldn’t have picked a better series of photos to show what you were describing. Yes, not a word of journaling was needed to tell the story of THIS set of pictures! Loved the bright colors and the use of the draped pennant banner.
