Your comment made me laugh - yes those spiral staircases are a killer for the modern tourist!
So clever of those castle builders all those years ago to make the spiral such that the sword hand (the right) would be pressed up against the wall as any would-be attacker tried to climb the stairs

Great LO, love the blending and the layering, lovely photos too! I visited Warwick castle on Saturday, it was really lovely but I could kick myself as I forgot to take my camera

Interesting bit of history. I visited Ireland many years ago and saw two of these castles. The stairs really are tiny. Wonderful layout - I really like the wordart in your title.
