HNC 2-6 Red and White

I was intrigued by jode2771's delightful layout for Tuesday's freebie challenge. She told us how she managed the photo effect on her page, and I decided to give it a try. This time, I kept it red and white for today's HNC challenge. the experiment was a lot of fun, and I can imagine using this technique at other times as well. I love the fact that we can learn so much from each other here! :D

This came out so great! I like that you kept it red and white and can totally relate to your journaling! Great job working with the technique. I will give it a try too.

This is just wonderful Diane and that little sweetie looks cute in any color. You did a wonderful job with the colors and Jode's instructions and your journaling and title is so creative and sweet. Super page.

I've been wanting to try Jode's technique but this layout sealed the deal. The perfect valentine for the modern day young person. I LOVE IT!

Cute! I love the little hearts and the font you used for your title. I had to laugh, because my 5 year old grandson came over today and his first question was, "where's your Nook?" He likes to play Angry Birds on it.

Oh this is so sweet! I am grinning ear to ear reading it! Your DGS would hit it off so well with my sons! You did a superb job with the technique I used and you really made it look so clear and almost 'touchable'... it looks so great, and I love the simple treatment you gave it... just wonderful (and thankyou for lifting me!) :-)

Diane, this is fantastic! I love the red and white Valentine theme—not to mention the darling photo theme—with just the addition of a few hearts, WA, and journaling. Looks just like you spent an afternoon sketching your grandson! The angle of the photo just ‘makes’ it.

I, too, immediately ran off and tried Jody’s steps to see how it would work. The photo I grabbed wasn’t as perfect for the technique as yours, but I marveled at what it enabled me to do. Yes, there will be many more down the road.

Thanks for sharing this with us. I applaud your endeavor!

this technique worked so well with a "Person" picture...Impressed. And yes, in this day and age of electronics, one is left wondering if the electronics or the provider of the electronics takes priority. Definitely have that going on in my home too. Great page. Love it.
