This is the exact technique I describe in my newsletter article using Syndee's Sprayed Paint Dynamic brush... I clipped my photo to a blank page and then 'painted' in the picture using white on the blank page... love the arty feel... I have used it many times on buildings but never on a pic like this before. This photo was taken from my yard of the lorikeet eating my neighbours flowers :-)

Wow, Jody, that is sooo cool! Thanks for sharing. What a beautiful bird too!
I've got to give that a go, as Dianne said, that is sooo cool! Fantastic layout as always Jody.
Interesting technique - I've been trying to figure out how to do it in GIMP. Do you do a spoongy erase in the middle, like with a grunge brush just with a very light hand?
Love those colorful birds, we don't have anything like that in the wild here, our birds are more monochrome. Great wordart in your title.
What an interesting bird! I don't think we have them here. The touch of bright color against the black and white is fabulous! And, you've sold me on that brush!
Just amazing. On top of the technique, I love the B&W with only the bird in color, plus using him as an emb on your WA.
This looks fantastic Jody. I love the way the birds and title are the only color on your page.
Very artistic. Love the bright color against the background. I tried this technique.... Did not look right. The trick is possibly the brush you used, and do you brush on the top or bottom layer. In your article it says the new layer... So bottom layer?
yes very artistic...love the spray paint bw and the color of the title and the embellie
Lovely layout Jody. I love this technique and have used it several times since it was in the NL. I don't have that particular brush but have used several others and it works great using them too. I think I am going to go buy the brush you use since there is a sale. This is the technique I used in my layout today too!
And you do this technique so beautifully!
