Project 52 2013: January 2

Well, doing a double-page a month seems to be taking me as long to do as four double-pages did. But, at least I got it posted before February ended, right?

For this page I used:

SNU Embellishment Templates: 8.5x11 Pocket Life 6301

STI Pocket Life: New Year

SNU Pocket Life: Snapshot Journal Cards

KSC New Beginnings Zip Kit

VRA Basic Brights Paper (retired)

and my own photos.

Journaling reads:

"Life quiets down, adjusting to Mom gone, lots to take care of... Time with Terry & Ali... Mass for Mom... Hard Yoga work & dizzed... Winter Watercolor class... Learning to make manicotti... Dear friend Conkie, family & friends...

Sad view of shore & devastation... Two year cancer diagnosis anniversary... Art class with Margie... June's First Anniversary. Dinner with all the girls... Terry has surgery & my first "awake" stitches... Skyping & more skyping... Snow & bitter cold..."

First.....I'm so glad the two year cancer diagnosis has passed, Marilyn and I know how scrapping about it helps you cope with that awful thing. LOVE the stitching around your photos - it just makes them pop so beautifully. What terrible devastation - my heart goes out to everyone living through the clean up and the re-start of their lives. Di is right - your layout does resemble a quilt and I am really liking the new format! I was getting worried if you were going to make posting before the end of February, but you did it! You go girl! I know how much you miss your Mom, my friend and I'm glad to see you scrapping about those feelings - she's smiling down at you I know and loving that you are remembering her.

Wonderful two pages Marilyn, you are always so good at making your photos 'talk' to us... I love matching up your words and your pics... I know it is hard adjusting to a new life now where you get to focus on you so I especially enjoyed seeing all the little things that highlight your days now :-) the new Pocket Life pages are wonderfully put to use this way, looking forward to seeing your year :-)
