Kite-flying is big here in Malaysia, especially among the local Malay community. This particular kite festival is supposedly among the largest in the world! Even the name of the venue itself, Bukit Layang-Layang, means 'kite mountain'. Unfortunately, none of us are any good with kites, and we sure felt foolish as we tried and failed and tried and failed to get our kite up in the air while people around us were effortlessly flying theirs into the stratosphere... =P

This one is really fun too and the quote is wonderful. Love the shot of Neko-chan running with the kite. The night sky colors in the large photo is great!

It looks to me like your rainbow kite is doing just fine! :) DH has flown kites with our grandchildren with mixed results. Sometimes it stays way up, sometimes, not. Great photos!
