I've been complaining about our lack of snow this winter, so DH brought back some photos of birds in the snow. He and a birder friend had gone birding along the eastern shore of the Chesapeake Bay, and then up into Delaware - yes, I noticed the spelling error - I'll fix it! We had light rain at home, but they ran into up to five inches of snow and whiteout conditions.

When I saw the SnowedIn paper freebie I was sure it would work with these pictures. I added a transparency from A Winter Song collection (retired); it was the only product that had any purple in it. All the other tints and shades of purple resulted from blending modes, except for the text. The birds on this page are snow geese and a great blue heron who doesn't look too happy.

OHhhh.. Jo - your husband and his photos are amazing and your scrapping shows them off so beautifully. Gorgeous, gorgeous pics as is your masking and blended background - I commented on it on the other page and was so glad to see you explained how you did it here. Wow... I just keep looking all over this page and keep finding more and more pretty parts to look at. I really like your title, too and you did a wonderfully soft job with the colors. Thanks for adding your beautiful interpretation of color to the challenge. I love how your two pages look next to each other on the MB. Great layouts.
