Sat Colour Challenge 30mar13 #1

MariJ contacted me to ask about Monochromatic pages and the best way to tackle them for this weeks colour challenge, so I offered to do a few different looks to show how versatile this kind of scheme can be: I opted to do fully monochromatic pages using only the colours on the Lion palette as I find it easier than lots of colour, desaturating and photo filters are your friend!

I love your photo! I also like monochrome, especially in earth tones, because it seems restful somehow. However, you've given this a lovely punch because of your photo treatment. It looks absolutely terrific!

Jode, a BIG "THANKS" for your help with this color challenge and layout examples and an extra thanks for explaining how.

Your page and photo is gorgeous and I love how you masked and treated it. I really like the pretty marble like background you used and the way you beautifully blended another paper behind it. Your use of the challenge colors are masterful and a lesson for us all! Your simple embellishments are lovely and yes, I found the color strip, too.

Thanks for adding your interpretations and shades to today's color challenge!

This is the very definition of elegance! I especially like the placement of the title and the ribbons running throughout. Amazing LO!

What a marvelous bit of ironwork - I just love this kind of detail. I really like that paper you chose, but could never figure out how to use something this ornate. The desaturation looks great, especially with your photo color and it blended so well!
