This is my other Monochromatic page created to help MariJ show how versatile the monochromatic palette can be: and I was lucky cos she chose brown and grey and they work together so well!

Jode, this is just lovely and a wonderful example of a monochratic layout using brown and gray tones. Your photo looks like a sepia painting and I like how you placed it behind the window. I like your wooden background and the way you used the wire and your strip of embellishements is so creative and beautiful. And yes, I found the color strip - very clever!

Thank you so much for your help and for making this super page for today's color challenge. :)

Ooohhh I love all the textures here! A gorgeous monochromatic look. I like seeing that pretty scene through the window and also love the way you've combined the rugged with the soft (flowers/ribbons) so beautifully. Love the color strip as well!

Oh I love the sweet rustic feel of this and that you've put the scene through the window. The swatches are so fun across the bottom. Great page.

I love the rustic look of this, with the peek at the little farm out the window. I never realized browns and greys went so well together, but they're both colors found together in nature. Those little paper flowers are adorable!

Oh, how neat - I love the window. The wooden walls and wire mesh are lovely touches, too. Your photo has such a neat vintage look to it with the color removed.
