I love monochromatic and I love browns (although I confess to a lot of yellows and greens and I did use color in my photo - so I guess I cheated:)) Anyway, I saw these little guys hatch out of their shells and will never forget it.

AHhhh - not cheating at all, Kathy... I used some blue in mine and it's one of the options to the challenge! (Mostly because I myself was so frustrated.)

Your layout is wonderful -- super photo (kinda spooky, too) and wonderful use of the challenge colors around it. I really like your framing and title and I especially like the swirl and how you put your background together so creatively. Super page and thanks for adding your interpretation and shades to today's color challenge!

PS and wow, that must have been so COOL to see those lil' guys hatch...

How neat it must have been to seen them hatch. Love the layout - the tones are perfect for the photo (which isn't very colorful) and I love all the texture.

Seeing them hatch must have been very cool. The photo is just wonderful! I love the texture in it -- both in their bodies and in the rock. I like how you've emphasized that texture with the ripped and curled frame, your linen-like bg paper, and even with the grungy font. I like the little card tucked behind the photo, too with the swirls coming down from it. Beautiful layout!

GREAT photo!! What fabulous texture - the rock and the skins, I am so awed by the detail in it. A wonderful event to experience and a wonderful photo to commemorate the little guys. I really didn't notice the colour in the photo and had to go back and check to see what you meant, you did a terrific job of desaturating the tones and by keeping the embellishments simple you really let the photo shine. Great job.

Awww, I love critters like this. How neat to watch them hatch! Great textures and browns in this LO. I really love how you did the title "DRAGONS". (How did you do that?) Great page!
