Saturday April 6 Color Challenge Blues-Greens

The greens definitely took over my layout, but I sneaked in a bit of blue, so I think that counts. ;)/>

Today's challenge gave me the chance to use a couple of my new brushes bought in the recent sale. I also got to play with Thao Cosgrove's Asian Lanterns, which is always a treat to do. I blended another garden photo into the background.

DEB Gesso Paper;

TCS Asian Lanterns;

KSC Tranquility (papers used for the lanterns);

RSC Frame_Bamboo (retired);

MST Brush: Stamped Dates _Stamped_Dates_BrushSet;

BMU Brush: Inked Circles;

BMU Twiggy

I love how your lanterns came out. I've not seen that collection and will go look. The paper you chose to use looks lovely. This green is a beautiful background for your Japanese Garden and I like the pretty branch reaching in. Your brushes look great, I used some of my new ones too! Lovely page.

This is gorgeous, Diane and those lanterns almost glow. Your background is blended so beautifully and I really like how you framed your peaceful photo. I like the twig bringing us across the page and I really like the serene feel to yoru layout. Lovely work.

LOVE IT!!! Can you hear me squealing? This is so beautiful... That background should be a paper!! Love the photo you framed so perfectly but I love the details more... The lanterns and title over that beautiful blended background... I love those gesso papers too for blending :-) and my new must have: the twig! Is that from a current kit?? This is sensational. Tfs.

Oh ps I finally found the inked circle hee hee :-)

Oops! I forgot to credit Brandy Murry for her delightful Twiggy embellishments. I put it in now. Thanks, Jode!

I love those lanterns, I will have to check them out. Thinking I'll have to check out the Japanese gardens next time I'm in Portland too!
