All is Us challenge

I didn't see this challenge until this morning (4/9) - I was grandpuppy sitting yesterday, and had no access to the internet. I've never heard of this day before, but it resonates with the environmental science teacher in me. What first went through my mind were the many ways of stating the Law of Interrelatedness: You can't do just one thing; When we try to pick out anything by itself, we find it hitched to everything else in the universe. (John Muir); We belong to the Earth (a song by Magpie). So I searched my stash of quotes for one that emphasized sharing, and found this passage by Joseph Cornell. And Thao's Daybreak collection had embellishments to fit the verse. Once I found the quote, it took under an hour to put the page together. I used only the one collection, plus two styles - details in EXIF. Thanks for the challenge, Marilyn.

Oh, Jo now I am so sorry I only am finding this now - I was so busy posting Bingo words this morning I forgot to look! What a lovely and thoughtful page and I very much enjoyed reading your notes above. Your quote is wonderful and so suits the challenge and our life. I love the collection you used and how you placed your journaling on the book. It all looks so earthy and warm - just like Mother Earth we all share. Thank you for sharing your experience of "All is Us" Day in such a beautiful way. :)

The artsy feel to this page is fantastic... I love the collage-y feel it has and I like how you emboldened some of the elements with a stroke... a really clever page, love it!

I love the colors you've used, and the poem is so fitting for the theme. Great bird embellishments, and I can't stop looking at those clouds! Gorgeous and artistic LO!

Thank you for the lovely comments. I can't take credit for the colors, or the clouds, or the strokes on the leaf-shaped ornaments - those are all part of Thao's beautiful Daybreak collection. I did alter the background by blending two of her papers.
