Rained out at the Eiffel Tower, p.1

We tried to go to the Eiffel Tower, but rain took over, so we enjoyed our picnic meal, and watched daredevil bicyclist going down stone steps.

 

From my trip diary:

Picked up groceries, and headed to the Eiffel Tower for a picnic, planning to go up near sunset. Light rain turned into a downpour as we ate. We took cover, while watching daredevil bicyclist ride down the ramps of stairs of the buildings that face the Tower. Soaked to the skin, we gave up and headed home for the night.
