Monday Challenge 4/22/13 - "Earth Day"

I was walking near my house last Spring when I discovered this lovely little stream - complete with ducks and right in the middle of a busy neighborhood!

I thought it was a good example of living together with nature. Happy Earth Day!

Journaling reads: "The proper use of science is not to conquer nature, but to live in it. Barry Commoner"

For this layout I used:

TCS Naturescape Collection Biggie

BMU SS Paper Templates: Edgers Biggie

BMU Dynamic Brush Set: Background Blenders

What a lovely photo, Marilyn. And I love the subtle leafy background you created for it, with such a meaningful quotation as border. The resulting layout is simply beautiful.

You stumbled upon this!?! My kids would love that! All that mud... :-) What a wondrous little find, love the fact the ducks are in it, it shows it is healthy! Lovely colours and a very peaceful page. Great quote too, perfect for this page!

Beautiful! I love your photo -- it looks like it was taken while actually standing in the water, LOL, and I love the beautiful colors of your BG papers. Great quote, too, and I like how it forms a frame around your page.

What a lovely find Marilyn. It's wonderful to know that nature and neighborhoods can live in harmony with each other. Your placement of the small embellishment in the lower corner is the perfect finishing touch to this beautiful layout.

I would love to have a stream like that in my neighborhood! What a treasure! The background colors are gorgeous, and your photo looks so good against it. I really like your quote and how you framed the layout with it. I also like how you used just a simple embellishment cluster in the bottom corner. This is a wonderful Earth Day layout!
