Tropical Colors, left - Color Chall 4/27

When I read yesterday's color challenge I was wearing my favorite "robe" - sold as a dress, but never worn beyond the mailbox, and at least five years old. So I scanned it, wrapped around my 12 x 12 cutting board, and after applying PSE's panorama magic, used it as the background. Then I went looking for photos that fit the colors and mood - and wound up with mostly birds, of course. The supplies are listed in the EXIF file, except for the the hibiscus in the lower left. That was extracted from one of my photos. All are from the trip DH and took to Costa Rica in 2009.

Jo these pages are masterpieces. I looked at page two first so now that I read your notes I am even more impressed with how you actually created your background - how wonderful! I love the soft green matte you used and your photos are beyond gorgeous. Super lovely two-pager. I just keep looking at the photos. Unbelievabley beautiful.

Super job on imagination and the extraction! The layout is so pretty. I'd be interested in how you get such good photos of birds. Mine are always fuzzy. Great layout!

Beautiful. Love your robe/dress. It's really pretty. Great photos of some wonderful colorful hummingbirds. One of my favorite birds. You've given me an idea for my page. Thanks for the inspiration.

Another WOW page! Gorgeous work.....photos, robe background (!) and colors. You did amazing work on this two page LO and congratulations on your well deserved NL win! Lovely photos and isn't it great when a page like this comes together? Wow on the extraction, too. Beautiful!

Your layouts are spectacular, Jo! Have you thought about selling your robe background as paper? LOL Beautiful flowers and color palette. I love the detail in your paging including stitching around the green chevron and the titles. Beautiful work.
