Challenge was to use a calendar or date strip as an embellishment on your layout. I combined the Date Slide embellishment template with the ribbons that were already in place on this layout template.

the date slide is great on the ribbons--just a reminder to the rest of us that it is time to go to the beach and relax---right?

The beach for you lot yes, we are getting out the rain umbrellas and wellies.I LOVE the photo. The date strips are great and I really like the layout template.

Despite living a mile or two from Lake Michigan I've never been much of a beach baby but this makes me think twice . . . . I really like the date strip on the ribbons and I love the background!
