Something I read all the time on the message board is that scrappers love patterned papers, but don’t use them very often because they feel like the patterns make their layouts look too busy. A great place to start practicing using patterned papers is with a stacked template. ScrapSimple Digital Layout Templates: Stack Me by Jo Corne allows just a bit of patterned papers to show through on different layers letting me mix and match various papers without overwhelming my layout. Patterned papers are a great way to add some color onto your layout, so don’t be afraid to try them.
