Monday Challenge Journalling

This is a double page 8.5 x 11 layout. I am just posting both sides together because one side doesn't look right without the other. Because the image is so small, the journaling is hard to read even when you magnify it. The journaling on the left is about the trip my class took in the spring of 9th grade to Washington DC. We rode the train all night to get there, toured the city all day, and got back on the train late that night to go home. We decided to walk up the steps to the top of the Washington Monument. I'm not sure how many steps there were, but it was a lot! I have been to DC many times since that trip, but have never been as excited as I was for that one. It was the first trip I had ever been on without my parents. The journaling on the right lists the approximate times that we visited each site.

All supplies in EXIF file.

This is beautifully done. Love the real "scrapbook" look of it. Your photos are embellished so well and I love the leaky pen! Fab page!

This is really wonderful! I love your memory (!) and memories, the black and white photos which really evoke the time period of the visit, the red, white and blue theme and the great, torn paper bg. Love the planner, too. Very creative and clever and a fun page for a fun trip and memory!

You are doing some absolutely wonderful pages for your book! I love the notebook design here and the red/white/blue accents. Cute idea to have a pen splotch next to the pen, too. I remember using pens like that in school. Sigh... there were lots of splotches! Great journaling and great pages!

Love the black and white photos with the neutral background and just a touch of red and blue. The layout looks so patriotic. The composition is perfect and flows beautifully.

I love the way you put this together in a notebook. The photos are great and I like the way you journaled on the one page and put the photos on the other. A really lovely way to remember a great trip.
