J. A. Ratley-Great Great Grandfather-for Re-JUNE-venate 2012

This photo taken at beginning of Civil War around 1861 or so. In case it sounds familiar, this is the layout of John after he was older.http://scrapgirls.net/forum/gallery/image/142899-john-andrew-and-melinda/

Jean this is SO cool - what a neat photo and I love what you did with it. I really like your interesting journaling and the type you used and your background and that little touch of red is wonderful. Super page. :)
Oh My! Now that is an old photo. You have showcased it very well. Love the touches of red.
I love this page! I love the picture, the torn look, and the lighting. Love the red in it too. Nice!
Jean this is awesome. Love the colours, blending and fantastic journaling. Great photo from long, long ago. Kay
Awesome photo and interesting bit of history. Lovely layout. I think you win. Your photo must be the oldest. Posted Image
Your photo is amazing, and so is the journaling.
your LO is inspirational! My husband's g-g-grandfather was from AL too and got captured at Gettysberg and survived 3 different POW camps, but we don'e have a picture of him. Thanks for sharing this.
I was about to say the same thing as princessrunningfingers, above. I'll add that I love your heritage layouts! You are a master of "mood".
Just amazing. Your journaling is brilliant and I also love the font you used.
Wonderful photo and journaling. You did a fantastic job with this layout. I have ancestors that fought in the Civil War too, but we don't have any pictures of them.
