Staycation - Downtown

Though Europeans might laugh at what we call "old and historic", the town where I grew up fits that category in the US. It has lots of charming old buildings, and downtown is still walkable. These photos are from the internet.

Journaling reads: "The town where I grew up was settled in 1623 though only one building has survived from that era. Many buildings date from the 18th century. Mills were the town’s chief industry until the mid 20th century, and downtown has a waterfall that supplied their power."

I love the steeples peering over the beautiful autumn-colored trees. Enchanting setting! Your LO is spectacular -- love the tatting over the BG. I have to play with that a little!

Ohhhh.. This is just lovely Diane and what a pretty place to grow up! Your photos are so pretty and I love the background (and colors!) you used to enhance them even more. Yout embellishment clusters aer beautiful and so is the elegant lace and journaling postcard anchoring your photos. Awesome layout and thanks for adding your personal touch to the challenge! :)

Lovely example of a mill town, the fall foliage looks so pretty around the town. Your journaling was very interesting, too. Great background color to go with the fall leaves.

What beautiful pictures these are. I love the picture of the Autumn trees in all their colors with the lovely churches with their spires reach towards the sky. Beautiful. Nice flower clusters and cute postcard with the pumpkins.
