Journaling reads "Sometimes I feel I have to ask myself for permission to dream the dreams I have, to be all that I want to be, to do what I want to do. Can I? Should I? May I? Like maybe I can't....am I afraid....sometimes I am, afraid of being judged, afraid I will not be good enough. Then when I try and fly, I know it's my heart I've been following, and behind my heart is my courage, passion, creativity, inspiration and trust. Trying makes me so happy but still, even afterwards, I find I must ask myself if... I may.... spread my wings and fly."

Oh this is lovely, Cheryll Ann. I love your delicate background and the torn pieces and edges you used that really give me the feeling of hesitation and uncertainty. I also like the fairies - one so so light and airy the other grounded and firm. Your heartfelt journaling is just wonderful and I also really like your word art and title in pieces along with the blended words at the bottom - so creative and expressive. Awesome page and thanks for adding a piece of creative YOU to the Thursday Challenge! :)

You created a wonderful fairy tale story here - a shy little girl who wonders if she can and completely answered your question and then some with this page!!! the dress blended along the edge of the torn paper, the crossed out word... the beautifully written words that ring so true... this is so very beautiful and complex and emotional - print it out and stick it over your desk so every time you find yourself asking if you are good enough? - look up and BELIEVE.

OMG! Wow! Stunning, I can read me in your journalling too!

I love your page and how you placed your journalling in the folded creased up paper, together with all the embellishment such as the little sparkly heart, amazing, just spectaculary amazing! :)

What a creative expression of your wavering artistic confidence! Marilyn and Jody nailed it - you DID fly. And you can, and will, again. Thank you for sharing you vulnerability, and giving the rest of us permission to spread our wings, too.
