Remembrance - Art Journal Scent Challenge

Remembrance - Art Journal Scent Challenge

I had no trouble coming up with a topic for this challenge - these scent related memories have been part of me for a long time. How to scrap them was the challenge. I felt that some kind of images were needed, and I wanted them in the same style - both photos or both sketches or both embellishments. I didn't find sketches or embellies, but Google had pictures I could use with some adjustments. I added the escaping steam with PSE brushes. And once I found the "Time' paper, I relied totally on Brandy Murry's products to complete the page. It's a bit simpler than I originally envisioned - not a lot of colors or interacting layers (at least not obvious), but I think it's done. Supplies are listed in EXIF - thanks, Brandy!

Oh Jo this is just wonderful. Your journaling is awesome and so very descriptive I can "feel" your triggered scents and like I am there. Lovely background and gorgeous blending in different texture and color. I so enjoyed your stories - and looking through your page. Super page and thanks for sharing and adding your own personal sense memory and beautiful creation to the Thursday Art Journaling Challenge :)
Great page! You've really evoked those aromas, especially with the steam and the bubbles. I like that you've included lots of journaling -- you've made this a very personal very wonderful memory page. Thanks for sharing!
Love your theme and could just smell my daddy's pipe from years gone by. great LO!
Yes, I can smell the freshly baked bread. Love the steamy background with its stamped clock.
Wonderful page and I love the journaling of your memories. The bubbles coming out of the pipe is perfect. I also love the clock, your page title, and the basket of bread. I can smell the bread that my Grandmother used to bake in her kitchen. Thanks for the memories.
Very pretty page and lovely journaling. Great memories.
