Art Journal Chat - 16thSept2013 - First

Things are not running smoothly with the sale of our home and we found the house we would really really like to buy but cannot do anything until we make sure our current home is sold.

Credits: Please see EXIF - I have used one of Syndee's great Art Journal templates.

In case you cannot read the words on the roller coaster - " please get us off this emotional roller coaster "
Anne Marie, this is wonderful and what a beautiful expression of your current "first" of selling your home. Your background is so expertly blended and I like the colors and "feel" to it all. Your layout truly shows a sense of unknown, spiraling emotions and frustration -- yet there are hints of brightness and light yet to come on your horizons. Your title is lovely and I like how you highlighted the prompt "first", while the addition of the roller coaster and your heartfelt words paint a vivid picture of the situation you are in. Awesome art journal page! Thanks for coming to the chat and adding your artistic personal creation to ScrapGirls new Art Journal Gallery! :)
I love your choice of colour for this emotional time... this time of confusion and disorientation... I love your little train and you and Ken on it - I hope you get off this ride soon... Thankyou for using the "First" prompt, I liked your take on it, and I hope your page helps you deal with the stress. Well done!
This is fantastic, Anne Marie. I love that roller coaster with the cars and your names. Love the colors you chose and the swirls. MariJ put it best, so I will just ditto that. This is an awesome page.
The roller coaster is fantastic with the little train. I love the swirls and colors. Great way of depicting what is happening in your life right now.
oh I LOVE the colours on this layout - beautiful. Syndee's templates are so marvellous to work with and you have done an awesome job with them. The rollercoaster track and train depict your feelings so aptly. I hope your house sells soon - in the UK we have a saying 'the 3 most stressful things in life are selling a house, getting a new job and having a baby' - I've done all three and I can certainly agree that the house selling is the one with the most bumps in it - hang in there, it will sort itself out in the end.
As a Realtor, I can really appreciate this! What a great job you've done depicting this emotional time of change and uncertainty. Great color choices and I totally love the spirals through the page and that emotional roller coaster. I hope that your train comes to a level track and that you'll be coasting along towards closing and purchasing your new home. Best of luck to you!
Well, I would write what Marilyn said but she said it so well! Love the spiraling, love the ups and downs and what a perfect icon for your feelings in the roller coaster. Anticipation, drama, let down, anxiety, maybe some fun? I do like the peek of light in the future. Really great, thoughtful work, Ann Marie!
WOW your journaling says it all on the rollercoaster track and fantastic BG blending :)
That rollercoaster says it all. Fabulous page!
