My first trip to Europe took place when when I was a college student. I crossed the Atlantic in a smallish ship. It was exciting, but the trip took almost 8 days; it really made me appreciate the size of the ocean!

Your page looks great, i really like it. I love how you have created all the pieces of your journey, the young student representing you, wearing a beret francaise. An experience of a lifetime!

Holey moley, to Europe by ship! What an adventure. The adventurous aspect shines through, and the joy, too. I am loving the collaged aspect of this work! Wow, you have it nailed! Love the stamps, compass, preserver, hotels, happy girl! Such a fun page and storytelling by collage, wow! IMF to study later!

I think you had fun all over again just by creating such a fabulous collage. There is so much to see because of the many little pieces tucked here and there. This one page tells the story that would probably take a dozen pages otherwise. This layout is simply a wonderful creation recording an exciting adventure for a youthful Diane.

I LOVE this Diane and I"m with April - I had such fun looking all over and "traveling" on your page finding more and more wonderful pieces! Your background is fantastic with so many important pieces blended and "collaged" into the page in such a beautiful way. The words and pieces you used really portray a sense of adventure and excitement and I love the little traveler all ready to go! :) Super use of pennants and swirls, too - really lovely! Awesome art journal page! Thanks for coming to the chat and adding your artistic personal creation to ScrapGirls new Art Journal Gallery! :)

I have been eyeing off this page on the thread... wondering who created it -without photos it is hard to tell sometimes!!! I am so smitten with this!!! The wonderful old hotel stickers, the ocean, both dark and wavy, the land using a map!, the little girl with her case and the compass... it is so carefully placed together and yet so casually collage-y... what an adventure indeed! My first boss when I worked in travel would tell me about her first trip to Europe... it took almost 6 weeks by ship haha... do you still like the water? This is a terrific page, I wish it were mine!

Great page! I like all the different travel elements and papers you have blended together in your layout. I especially like the girl, the boat in the blue chevron paper, the voyage scroll and the string of flags/banners. Very creative!

I can feel the excitement of your European voyage in this page. All the elements and details you used are so wonderfully and seamlessly blended. I know you had tons of fun putting together all of these sweet elements and patterns and I have had such fun admiring it. Especially love the girl, the tall ship and wavy banners.
