Speed Challengs - 9/25

Argh!!! My computer is soooo slow tonight.

Anyway, here is the photo I have of my father's mother in her wedding dress. I love this photo.

I've been reading a series set in the 1920's and pink and black were known as 'jazz colors'. Since I have no idea what grandma's colors were, I went with those.

I used:

ABL_NewlywedCollection_Emb2_FlowerSpray

TCS_Barefoot_Emb_Arrow-Straight (it's in the bouquet)

BMU_Nuptials_EMB_Rose

BMU_Nuptials_EMB_Frame-Pearl-SQ.png

Horsedream's Sisters Collection from Scrapbook Flair

TCS_Barefoot_Emb_Arrow-Straight

Papers (all color adjusted to get this pink):

AFT_YIR_Paper_Spcl.jpg copy

ABL_NewlywedCollection_Paper_Tulle.jpg

Oh, Aggie what a beautiful photo and page! That picture is a treasure and you've made it into a work of art. I really like how you used it large and gave it full focus and I love your dainty framing and matte. The background you created really enhances the photo even more and your title and embellisments are so pretty. Super journaling and really lovely layout. :)

Aggie, this is so beautiful. I just love heritage layouts and this one is gorgeous. I love the photo of your Grandmother and her bridesmaid. The background in the photo is wonderful. Love the pearl frame (I've used that many times) and the beautiful flower bouquet. The matte is so art deco and I love it. Wow! Your Grandmother was way before her time. Smoking and wearing slacks in the 30's? What a dare devil she was.

This is wonderful! What a fantastic photo!! The dresses, the arched doorway behind them...and look at those stairs! They really look steep. Wow. I love that you used the "jazz colors" and the art deco look. Beautiful layout!

This is a lovely vintage photo, beautifully scrapped! I like your emphasis on the photo as the main part of the page. Your journaling is wonderful, too.
