I made several manipulations to my photo

 

Background photo:

Ran Brandy's Color Isolation action to only show the blueish tones

Blended it into the background using a ScrapSimple paper

Small photo:

Duplicated the photo

Bottom copy - ran Syndee's Aged Photos style to add texture

Top copy - used levels adjustment to lessen the shadows, used Screen blending mode to let some texture through while keeping some color brightness

 

 

Journaling:

Nathan loves his cars! He was so excited about his racecar pajamas, he made mom take a picture ... which she then forward to me for scrapbooking, of course!

Neat photos - he's such a cutie. The text really pops against the dark background. I like the soft look of your blended photo, too.

I love the action that you used on the photo and also that it is blended into the background. Lovely colors. I really like the little car.
