Ann and Marie
I wanted to make something special for my mother for Christmas. I started playing with it and this is what I ended up with. Pictures on the background are from a book published in 1894 about California.
Journaling reads:
Somehow, I see my mother walking on fences and climbing trees. I do not know why that should be. I never saw her as a tomboy, but she took my brother and his antics right in stride. When I saw these pictures of her as a tiny girl, I just instantly thought how much of an angel with the devil in her she looked. I could almost just bet she was up to all kinds of things. Never anything dangerous or destructive, just mischievous and quirky, adventurous and curious. I think climbing and sitting on shelves would have amused her!
