Preserving this memory

“Do you want to renew our vows?”, my husband inquired nervously, eyes wide with trepidation.

“What?! No!”, I blurted, bemused by the question. “Why would you ever think that?!”

“Hey, it wasn’t my idea!”, he scowled defensively. “It’s just that our 25th anniversary is coming up and the ladies at work said I had to do something really special and this was their suggestion.”

“Oh... well, they really don’t know me.” I grinned at him and he grinned back, the look of relief on his face so plain that I laughed. It suddenly struck me that had I said yes, he would have done this for me willingly, just to make me happy although he would rather endure a root canal.

I hugged him. “I love you.” “Me, too.”

What a nice story. Pretty layout, too - love all the layers of paper and the way your flowers frame the journaling like a wedding invitation.

I love this! I'm in total agreement! We're coming up on a big anniversary next year, and I can't think of any way to celebrate that we have't already done. Love your journaling and all the layered papers.

What a great story! I love that you scrapped this event even without an accompanying photo. Great journaling and I love the stacked paper BG and the flower clusters.

I am glad you won the weekly winner LO! I had to read the journaling again and thought if it was me I would rather have a little vacation to somewhere romantic! Bless you and your husband for 25 years and have many more!!

Great LO. Very pretty clusters and love all the stacked papers.Had to laugh - our first wedding was stressful enough; I'm in no mood to do it again. DH & I laugh about the scene in Fiddler on the Roof - she says: 25 years and you don't say, I love you. He says: I told you when we got married. Nothing has changed. (this is the message of the scene, not true to the script.)
