Monday 11-18-13 Challenge -- My Grandparents

The photo is of my maternal Grandparents, Vincenzo and Virginia (Puccirelli) DiMare. They were both born and raised in Italy and came to the United States in the mid to late 1800's. My Grandfather was naturalized in 1888, but I don't know when my Grandmother was. They were married in the original St. Patrick's Church in Manhattan July 10, 1904. The photo was taken in front of their house in The Bronx, but I don't know what year. They bought the house in 1925, so it had to be sometime around the 1940's to 1950's.

What an amazing page, Carol. Love the photo and your use of the Treasured Heirlooms - great work. Your history is amazing - loved reading about your grandparents' experiences in America. You've documented it in a very lovely way.

Lovely photo Carol and gorgeous framing. I like the richly colored background you used and your embellishments are perfect for your page. Super heritage layout!

What a handsome couple! I love the embellishments you chose, including the butterflies (your favorite, I know, lol!). Thanks for joining the challenge!
