Brandy Hackman's "Pennies on the Track" was the starting point for this layout. Brandy's LO has a de-saturated look that reminded me that I wanted to try the Orton Effect on a photo. In the end I extracted the people from the photo and applied the effect on each part separately so that the newly weds were still the focal point of the photo.

Oh I adore the Orton Effect and it looks wonderful on your nature background... it gives such a dreamy effect while also allowing the sharp look to come through... you did a wonderful job! Your extraction is not even noticeable! Cute idea to frame and bring our attention to the couple. Great page!

Beautifully done layout! Perfect extraction and framing the couple really draws the eye to a great photo. The embellishments at the corner of the photo are a nice finishing touch.

Beautiful layout. I really like the blended background photo with all it's rich colours. Your photo is beautiful, your photo effect is so well done. You really are drawn to the couple even though there is a lot to look at. Very pretty.
