This is just gorgeous, love the BG blending and the twinkling lights:) I can relate to your journaling as I only have my younger DS and his girlfriend for dinner as my other kids are away :(

Lovely page! I like the tree with the hearts, the sparkles and the beaming star. Amazing complexity of layers and blending, too. I like the message you are conveying as well. It's hard not to be home for the holidays, so this is good to remember.

Worth waiting for Ann - it's beautiful! I love your gorgeously blended background with all its colors and textures and the bright twinkling lights give such a festive feel to your page. I really like your journaling and the symbols you used - the hearts are warm and cozy looking and feel like the loved ones you are holding in your heart.
Very special layout and thanks for joining the Holiday edition of the Art Journaling Chat and Challenge - I love this! :)

PS - Love how wonderfully you used the fusion masks, I haven't been able to get those to work, yet.

Love the dreamy glittery feel this has... and the gorgeous tree which is big enough for family and covered in hearts for the ones we love... I am sure it will be weird not having the other kids around this year so I will be thinking of you as I drop mine off, but I do hope your DIL-to-be and DS have a wonderful first Christmas with you and create lots of new memories.

So pretty. Love the big tree and the splashy colors and patterns. It's a theme most people can relate to, sad to say. But at least we can wish one another a Merry Xmas via phones, Skype, etc. Lovely page!

Ann, this is just lovely. I love the colors that you chose and that pretty Christmas tree with all the hearts on it and glowing star on the top. Your blending is wonderful and the background paper is beautiful. Love your title and journaling.

A beautiful holiday page. I really like the traditional red & green colour palette muted, textured and softened in the background and brightened for the foreground embellishments. That tree is brilliant covered in hearts and the journaling is inspired.
