Journaling: "Look, I get it. I know that there are three types of people in this world - people who love the Elf on the Shelf, people who hate the Elf on the Shelf, and people who are just creeped out by the whole thing! Luckily, we fall into the first category. Our Elf has always been fun, light-hearted and not too mischievous. He doesn’t scare our kids and they have SO MUCH FUN getting up in the morning and looking for him in his next adventure. Most days he is just in a new, funny place in the house, but sometimes he gets creative. Dave is a lot of fun and we like having him in our house. And thankfully I don’t care if anyone else agrees with me!"

Very cute! I like the pictures of your elf in different places with the glitter star behind. The title with the glitter and your "magic" brush is very fun, too. Wonderful journaling!

We love our Elf, too!!! What a great story -- wonderful journaling and I love the collection of shots here. The ribbon placement really anchors the photos and helps guide the eye across your page. Nice work! :)

I had never heard of "Elf on the Shelf" till SG... we don't do it here.... love the idea and the mischief he gets up to and the name is hilarious, Dave - so Christmassy (not!). I loved your page in the newsletter, the colours and photocentric style are perfect here. Love your glittery blingy title too :-)

I only heard about "Elf on the Shelf" last Christmas, and while I'm not in the 2nd category, I'm not firmly in the 1st or 3rd ones, either! I once had a bad experience with an elf, LOL. I do love his name and how you have so much fun having him "visit". I also love the glittery star and the magic dust title. Cute!
