Dec 16_A moment for me!

This challenge was to scrap a personal moment of importance amid all the hustle and bustle of the holiday season. I have been working on this layout for a couple of weeks, and it fits the theme perfectly. Each holiday season, I love to share jam made from our wild berry harvest. Since returning to my teaching career, the time to preserve my jam is almost as elusive as time to preserve my memories (or my sanity, for that matter!) This year we were blessed (??) with a winter weather closure, and as soon as I found out school was cancelled, I knew how I was going to spend my day! I am so thankful that I found the time to prepare this special gift for our family and friends.

This is brilliant! Not only do I LOVE that you actually had some photos taken with you in them, but you showed the jam and shared the recipe! The old style photo backers and the junk journal look wonderful together and I am amazed you found blueberries to go with the page - yay you! Wonderful tradition and wonderfully preserved (pardon the pun!) memory.

This is a beautiful display of your jam-making moment. I love the Junk Journal template and how the pictures, the recipe, the word art, and the spoon are angled. The blueberries and the spilled jam at the edge of the page are a very nice touch. Thanks for sharing your moment with us.

Wow -- this is fabulous. I love the whole presentation: the notebook, the photos, the recipe, even the sprinkle of blueberry embellishments. You are now making me hungry for homemade blueberry jam. Sigh. Unfortunately, we don't get those yummy wild blueberries in Florida, but whenever we go back to northern New England (where I grew up) I pig out on wild blueberry anything! :) Thanks for bringing back good memories.

Congratulations - this is a standout NL winner. you have made so many wonderful choices for this page. Love the photo frames (fab photos,) the recipe card, the torn paper and your excellent spoon. A very well put together LO. Wish I was up there to have some warm biscuits and jam - yummm!
