For the "Clean Slate" color challenge, I opted to work with a true chalkboard background. I am afraid that as my layout emerged, I didn't do much of a good job keeping it clean though--paint drips everywhere. ;)

Funny Jaymee - the paint had a life of it's own, huh? Cute photo and great background and embellishments and wow both those guys are sure looking grown up! :)

Hee-hee - paint drips. Love it.

This is a wonderful layout - the black is very dramatic and I do like the torn paper borders and the splashes of peach(?).

Terrific photo Jaymee and great tradition. I really like how you used the chalkboard idea here and how you added texture to it with the torn middle section... the paint drips are wonderful but mostly I enjoyed reading abut your boys... they are growing up fast!

Wow, what a wonderful first day of school layout! In so many ways, you've captured just what it's all about - the comparison of the boys' heights, the descriptive journaling, the boy colors and designs. AWESOME!
