Sharing Banjo - J Jan Task 14

Photos of my grandchildren, their cousin, and their grandfather's banjo. I chose Amanda's "My Merry Wish" because it had subtle music on one paper, it's seasonal but doesn't shout Christmas, and the colors - with a bit of tweaking - work with the photos. The complete list should be in EXIF.

Journaling reads:

Grandpa King was a musician. He loved bluegrass,

and made some of his own instruments. Chris has over twelve banjos from his collection. This one is an open back banjo that Hubie made about 20 years ago. Chris brought it to a delayed Christmas gathering, for Hubie’s grandchildren to share. Julianna has custody of the banjo for now, since she and Mark both play strings. If David and Elizabeth ever want to learn, this treasure is in the family.

The layout is scrap lifted from True Friends, by daisies803.

What a fabulous LO. I like your collection choice; it seems made for these photos. Wonderful journaling. What a great story. I have a banjo and used to play a lot, so this page was really special for me. Well done!

The bright colours of your layout caught my eye but the best part of your layout is the pictorial story it tells in combination with your journaling. Gotta love that bluegrass!

Gorgeous - the pinks pick up nicely on the colours in the photos. Love the way the circles in the paper pick up the shape of the banjos. super page.

I really like the colors and the layers. The ric rac on the photo is my favorite part. A beautiful layout for some cherished memories!

Wonderful photos and journaling! These instruments are special sort of heirlooms. My dad plays banjo, so I grew up around them. I like how you borrowed colors from their clothing to use in the title. The round circles in the snowflake paper remind me of the round banjo body. Great idea to work the sheet music paper in there. Really nice!
