Oh I do so love AJ and the mess I can create on a layout! As is usual for me lots of blending, lots of paint, quite a bit of word art and a few well chosen embellishments (or as Marilyn would say - 'symbols'). Although not part of my title, the theme I chose was 'new opportunity' - something that has become possible for me to do this year. I'm hoping it is going to be of great benefit to me although it could take a long time to complete! My journaling took on the form of note-like thoughts that I have on this opportunity. The journaling isn't 'hidden' at all, but is probably not particularly easy to read on screen (which is the way I like it!). I chose to highlight key words from my journaling with some hand-drawn highlighting (which is actually on the layer below the text, so that the text isn't obsured).

Thanks for the brilliant prompt again this month Marilyn!

TFL.

OOOhhhh, this is wonderful Anna! I so enjoyed reading your notes on your process and your layout is lovely. Your journaling is so heartfelt and honest and I like how you placed and used it as part of your design. Gorgeously blended background and soft, pretty color and lots of paint really complement your words and the very relevant word art and symbols you used, too! Your page and all its pieces are so amazing I find I am looking and looking all around it and keep finding more and more to look at. Awesome layout and thanks for joining in the challenge and adding your special NEW creation to the Art Journaling Gallery! :)

oh WOW!!!!!!! Anna you have gobsmacked me, this is incredible!!! I understand your journaling and I am so thrilled that you do indeed feel like you need and deserve the chance to be you and to get some input on how to move forward. You are totally worth it and you are enough. The artistic pieces are just brilliant and the supporting word art and hand written components are great personalisations. Your placement of the lady in the box/frame shows both her being boxed in and her breaking out and into her starring role, the word art is so illustrative and I am glad you let us read your words - you are brave and stronger than you know. LOVE it! If I could find the favourite button I would use it!

Stunning! I saw this in the gallery and immediately knew it was outstanding. Your subject is made so compelling by the journaling and word art and all those wonderful "symbols." Such masterful blending - this is a fav!

Anna, this is stunning. The colors are so intense and just perfect for your page and journaling. Love all the quotes you used and that wonderful lady, sitting there and so confident looking and waiting for what is next and new in her life. And your title 'This time, this is for me' is perfect.
