Reinventing Myself

In this page I tried to describe the stage that I feel I am in now. My whole purpose in life is totally changed, and I feel that I am reinventing myself, while hanging on to my precious memories.

Joyce, this is absolutely, positively wonderfully spectacular! This is a real departure from your usual style and I can just feel the emotion that went into creating this masterpiece. Your journaling is beyond amazing. but it's the background blending that really sets this apart from the average page. So much texture and depth. I hope you frame this and display it in a prominent place. And I LOVE your little doll, sort of standing in a haze, which I suspect is just about how you feel. Thanks so much for sharing this work of art with us.

Oh, Joyce this is breathtaking. I agree with Ann and looking at your page, I would think you had been art journaling your whole life. Your words are deep and touching and have an almost viseral feel to them, as does your entire page. I can feel your struggle, yet you show your hope too. The colors you used and the way you blended and used texture is awesome, but it's the essence of YOU in your page that really takes my attention... Lovely, lovely work and thank you for sharing.

All I can say, Joyce, is WOW. You've created a wonderful page here, so expressive. Your blending, embellishments, and word art are all terrific and the greens you used are evocative of both hope and growth, Thanks for sharing! I wish you well in this new stage of your life.

This is awesome! I love how you've kept everything the one colour but used so many different shades/tones and I love all the blending you have done. Keep treasuring those memories but use them to take you forwards.

I am with Andrea, the green drew my eye too... but the words touched my heart. I know the way you loved Peter and how long you were each other's lives and I simply cannot imagine how hard these months have been - but the spirit you show in your words and your page ARE hopeful... and so very lifting. Stepping away from your usual style too is a sign that you are indeed coping and changing and I am so very honoured to share your page... you are amazing.

How clever you are, Joyce! I'm at a loss to come up with appropriate descriptive words for your page. Awesome seems so dry! I simply love your artistic expression. The title alone is fantastic! I loved studying every element of your page, especially your journaling. Love the visual interest you added with the different textures. And, love the green -- embrace your journey! **hugs**

You blending and quotes are wonderful. You have really captured new beginnings with your color choice and your image of the girl with the quizzical look on her face. The quote about "when someone you love becomes a memory............" has special meaning for me also. Lovely, heartfelt page.

Wow, Joyce. What a beautiful way to express your place in your journey. Some days we feel bold and hopeful, others we just breathe and try to keep going. Either way, we journey forward. Both are brave and beautiful and hopeful and amazing. You are amazing Joyce. Sending hugs and prayers.
