Okinawan Lion Dog - 4/3 Th Challenge

The Thursday 4/3 Challenge was create a page inspired by two vessels selected by Nica. The first one inspired me to use branches on my page. The second one inspired the cream, red-orange and gold color palette.

Journaling: Everywhere we went in Okinawa we saw lion dogs, called “shii-saa” in Okinawan. Most homes had a pair of these guardian dogs on their gateposts to ward off evil spirits and keep in good spirits. This large shisa sculpture was by the boys’ school.

Gorgeous! The branches are a great touch for the oriental layout and I love the papers you've chosen. Wonderful colors in paper and photo.
