Chef Adalyn is in the Kitchen - April 2012

The challenge was to crop a silly pic, so the first to grab my attention was this one of my two-year-old niece, Adalyn, when she was "cooking" at a friend's birthday party. Her exuberant expression just cracked me up! I played off the brown fabric of her dress which had green, pink, and white dots. This LO started out as a template but I tweaked, massaged, added, and subtracted, which is just what templates are for. I broke a cardinal rule of mine while doing this LO - I pulled from lots of collections, whereas I usually just stick with one to make sure everything matches. But I got carried away and found lots of fun "bells and whistles" all over my stash! CC welcome... thanks for looking!

Lots of fun Cindy! The comment cracked me up :-) Adalyn certainly looks like she is having a good time and the feel of your page reflects that.

Your photo is so sweet and yes, that expression is priceless! I really like how you put your background together and your embellishment clusters are lovely! Fun page, Cindy! :)

Her expression is so delightful! You made an amazing LO by pulling from your differnet stashes and making the color scheme from her cute dress, the kitchen utensils are perfect. Her curls are to die for! My two year old (soon to be our adopted daughter) has super straight hair.

Thanks, y'all, for the kudos... Adalyn is a wonderful, happy, energetic part of the family - and yes, those curls are to die for! Even at 4 years old, she has spiral-y curls that are just amazing. Maybe I'll do a LO just about her curls someday... ;-)

What a great picture! I love the expression and the pretty curls. Perfect papers to compliment the photo and that wordart looks wonderful.
