This is a hybrid page. My picture is on the umbrella. The journaling is handwritten on the back and reads -

 

For as long as I can remember people have called me Pollyanna. That label has not always been affixed to me by others with affection and love. What some don’t understand is that the way that I survive the difficult times is to try and face the situation – shoes off, splashing through the muddy puddles, sheltered by an umbrella of peaceful thoughts. I am not always successful but in those moments when I can sing in the rain things seem a little better with the world.

Oh, Karen, this is so lovely and I found you on the umbrella! Pretty photo and treatment and thank you for sharing your touching journaling with us here. I enjoyed reading your thoughts about life and I love your attitude. I also really like the way you put this page together - beautiful background complete with paint and 3D heart and pretty colors... And a very cool "you" splashing in the rain, I LOVE this! :) Thanks for coming to the chat and joining the challenge and sharing your fabulous layout about wonderful YOU. That is so cool! I don't have the patience for hybrid - I need the undo button on the computer too much - but I just love what you have done here. And how fun that you included yourself on the umbrella. Great piece of artwork.
