Journaling:

One day, when Rebecca was still too young to roll over by herself, I left her on a blanket on the living room floor

so I could wash some dishes in the kitchen. When I came back a few minutes later; she was gone! I found her in

Erich’s room. They were tucked in his bed together, and he was reading to her from a picture book.

Me: Erich, how did the baby get in

your bed?

Erich: I carried her. (He was only 3.)

Me: Show me how you carried her.

He demonstrated by putting his hands around his own neck with his thumbs underneath his jaw.

We made a rule that he would ask for help carrying Rebecca in the future. He continued to enjoy

reading to her for several years.

**No babies were harmed in the

making of this story**

What a sweet story! I hope they are still close. I love the filigree flower and swirl cluster!
