Here is the deal with me. I see all these incredible layouts and feel I need to "compete" and "be better". Unfortunately I know that that will take time and a commitment that I don't have right now. Everyone on this site has been so supportive and I have learned so much. But I am the one who has ruined it for me because I stopped having fun creating pages. So from now on I commit to just getting the photos on a page, simple or not. Sorry for the rant :)

I am so sorry that you feel that way...Stop thinking that way! We are here to share...share ideas, photos, techniques. The best part is we get to learn from each other. One of my favorite things is seeing photos from other places so sit back and enjoy the ride.

By the way your dog is adorable...I miss mine so much. At 15 every day is a gift.

Rant away! :) Interestingly I just read an article today(!) that listed ways to kill creativity and "competing" was one of them. So you are not alone! We love to see your pages -- I especially like your animal photos -- and I hope you will just enjoy the process. When you find there's something you want to do on the page and don't know how, just ask. But don't feel your pages have to be full of "bells and whistles" to be good!

Ok... I did a bit of ranting too. Sorry. This page is lovely and obviously shows your affection for your adorable "pup". I especially love the pretty background and the little footprints. A love page for Hayley. Sweet!

Please keep sharing your pages, especially ones featuring this cute dog. I am a dog lover and this one reminds of a dog I had when I was a child. I like how you tucked the heart under the top photo.

Your dog is a cutie, we have a 17 year old toy fox terrier.

I think you are right "just getting the photos on a page". It's a great place to start, and after that, try doing your layouts for you, and try not "competing". No need to apologize for ranting, this is the best place to rant, this community is very helpful.

I love simple layouts! I really like the little paw prints too!

Hey, nothing at all wrong with "Simple" Simple is special when the photos are of special memories....we all have different styles and all have ups and downs with the Motivation thing and of course life gets in the way a lot .... just do what pleases you. We are not judging, just enjoying!......oh and love your furry kid!!

You page is 'simply' lovely. I love the background paper and those adorable little paw prints all over the page. Hayley is so cute and the heart looks just great attached to her photos. You did a wonderful job on this. Don't feel like you have to 'compete', just do your pages for 'YOU'. And as everyone says, if you need help, just ask and you shall receive.

You have a great page! I do know what you mean. I've burnt out trying to have special pages. Just create for yourself. ( Now if I could take that advice myself!)

Kathy I liked your rant and glad you are back to scrapping for fun as that's what it's all about! I don't see anything "simple" about this page, it's lovely. Your photos are so cute and I like the green framing and your pretty background and most especially those pawprints running around the page. Great title, too! :)

I think your page is wonderful and Hayley is just adorable and the way he looks at the person behind the camera says it all. Super sweet. I love all the paw prints across your textured paper.

Getting things of your chest is the best way, it clears the mind of what is going on inside. It's good to rant.
