Monday challenge --Demolitioin Derby

For those who do not know what a demolition derby is....cars are prepped...all glass taken out, back seat out, doors and trunk chained shut, nothing in that can fly arorund, gas tanks altered, etc.....then they smash into each other till the last 2 cars are running...those to to the last heat.

Our son drove in the local demolition derby again this year. His automotive shop has entered cars every year for 5 years now and won a trophy every year. This year it rained so the course was muddy and couldn't go as fast so it was a long heat. He is the only one who lifts the hood after the event is over....a true mechanic. It was foggy and raining so the photos are not very good. His wife and I painted the 3 cars this year and delivered 100 orange tee shirts to friends and customers who attended...It is great fun.

Great page, Debby! I love the wonderful colors, title, great photos, and word art. I particularly like how you created the blended background and the smaller Fans Cheering photo. Fun page and great explanation of a demolition derby. Congrats to your son and his shop! Occasionally we have a demolition derby in a town nearby, (usually during the county fair), and they are fun to watch. Thanks for joining the challenge!

I can just hear the crunching of metal and screeching of tires as I look at your page. This is definitely full of energy! Congrats to your son's shop for all those trophies, and to your son for driving a car. I like the photo of the fans and the one of someone (your son?) standing on the crunched car and waving.

I love the title word art. Is that a font? Great photos and lots of excitement all around for everybody. Love the layout.
