Giddy up Opa
This week was the 45th anniversary of my Opa going home to glory. I still miss him. It's me and my brother, getting a ride.
These sure aren't the greatest photos, quality wise, but it captures a memory, and that's what it's all about, after all.
Journaling reads:
One of the rare photos we have of our Opa being playful and fun. I was so fortunate to live right next door to Oma and Opa in my early childhood.
It’s funny to me how our perspective changes over time. I’m probably close to the same age now as my Opa was in this picture. He seemed like an old man to me then. My grandson’s probably think I’m an old lady! Maybe I am, ‘cause I sure can’t frolic around with two kids on my back on my hands and knees.
