Cape Town is known as the Mother City.

I combined two photos to get this one. The photo also had an ugly rusted ship wreck right in front of the mountain. It was big and spoiled the photo. I used the clone tool to remove it. There were also two people standing on the beach. They were also removed with the clone tool. After that I duplicated the layer 4 times and applied 3 different blending modes, masks and a minimum filter. I used Syndee's watercolor brushes to get this effect on the photo. Supplies in EXIF

Wow, wow, WOW, Belle! This is gorgeous and a real work of art! Your photo treatment is awesome and you did a fabulous job on combining and editing photos, it's amazing! I love the soft, painted feel to your page - this should really be framed, I can't stop looking at it it's so beautiful. I also really like your title and the emabellishments you used. Stunning work. :)

Oh Belle, super page, I immediately called Sam (partner) to show him his hometown and he says Hi by the way.

He knew straight away it was 'Blouwberg Strand' without reading the title of your very creative page.

He says he saw whales on odd occasions turning and rolling in the water but that's not the only creatures he saw.

I love all the elements and techniques you have used to create your stunning page, thank you so much for explaining how you did it.

This is really outstanding. I love how you were able to create such a lovely piece. I tend to give up on difficult photos. Thanks for showing us that it's worth the effort to overcome those challenging shots.
