Scrap10 Chall: diamonds are a girls best friends

Three friends from high school - we all met in eighth grade - gathered in Ohio for five days this fall. On Sept. 18 we went to Lexington for lunch with eight other classmates, and then the four of us visited our high school. There's been a lot of remodeling since our time there; we were the last class to graduate from this building, and it's now a middle school. But we found most of our senior classrooms, and Pat (2nd from left in top photo) took us to one of her classrooms from elementary school. It was part of the original school, two stories plus restrooms in the basement. Candy wrote our "we were here" message on the board, in the current room set aside for detentions. And a friendly custodian snapped our picture with Candy's camera. We sat on the front steps, where our senior class photo was taken. On the way out, the principal asked us how things had changed, and we compared education than and now.

These three diverse, wonderful women are my best friends, although we aren't able to meet often. Candy's in Idaho, Pat in Ohio, and Paula in New Hampshire. Linda, who wasn't able to join us, lives in Illinois, but we stay in touch. And they all will get a print of this page.

Oops - forget to mention - supplies are in EXIF. TFL!

How wonderful to meet again after 53years. I think that is really special. Really like that diamond border and your slate board.

What a neat page, Jo and I so enjoyed reading your journaling! What a wonderful experience to meet with school friends after such a long time. I really like your photos and the papers you used to creat your background - including diamond shapes! Lovely work. :)

What a superb page and what a fun thing to do. How amazing that you were able to get back into your old school to look round (security is too tight over here - we'd never get past the front door!). Love the border down the left side.

How wonderful that you were all able to get together and that you visited your old school. Things change... and they don't. Delightful page! I especially like the diamond border.

So neat that you all are still in touch with one another. Wonderful layout, and I love all your names on the chalkboard, too. :)

Great page! I love that outdoors shot. You set it up perfectly so you could see those wonderful blue doors and it looks like you are waiting outside for the doors to open for school. Love the perspective on the photo too and no distortion.
