Best Of The Decade Challenge 10

I have been pondering this challenge ever since I saw it posted yesterday. The idea came just this afternoon...the best thing of any decade is the gift of one more day. That becomes even more meaningful with the passing of years.

Journaling reads:

It's been a great decade. Travel to far away, exotic places, meeting new friends, enjoying the old ones. We marked our 50th wedding anniversary in June. We’ve been blessed to watch four grandsons grow from awkward toddlers and pre-teens to confident, accomplished, compassionate young men. We’ve enjoyed the occasional all-family gathering, a major accomplishment with the family spread from coast to coast.

I don’t have to think back too far to recall the very best thing about the last ten years. It was just this morning. One more time I awoke to a beautiful new day. I am reminded by the passing of family and friends that I should be grateful for that one more day and live it to its fullest. And remember to say THANK YOU.

Supply list in EXIF properties.

Oh, Ann I got tingles reading your journaling, what a wonderful expression of thankfulness for time. Which also made me think of your ever present clock which I can't find on this page, but your words more than made up for that. I love how you typed in white on your gorgeously blended background - is that sun rise or sun set? Doesn't really matter, as you've touched me with your thoughts... And, made me think. Thank YOU for sharing.

Your journaling brought tears to my eyes. Very touching. One More Day, what can one say after that. It does take on a whole new meaning as the years pass. Reminds me of 'One More Day' from Les Miserables.

I love the photo of the sunset and the beautiful twinkling stars in the sky.
