NSL Challenge-Dec 16, 2014
The overall design of this page is scraplifted from the sample page which accompanied Cindy's lovely papers. I added a journaling block to her layout, and made a copy layer of the frame so I could slide some snowflakes under it, including those on Brandy's White Christmas blended photo masks. The page is not very Christmasy, but it is a Christmas memory from years ago - boy do I look young in that photo! And the colors are non-traditional. Supplies are in the EXIF file. Thanks for the challenge which prompted me to finally scrap this picture.
The journaling was hard to read in the gallery, so I've added it here.
During the week after our first Christmas together as a family back in America, we drove from Mansfield to Joliet to see my grandparents, Harold and Rosamund Crips. Robin came along for the ride.
Karin was three weeks shy of two, and Mari would be one year old in a little over a month. I’m sure neither remembers the visit. They were the first great-
grandchilren for Mama and Papa, and this is the only time they saw each other.
Dave and I both think we made the entire trip in one day. Papa’s house was too small for five overnight guests, and we had little money for motels.
We have only this picture of the meeting.
